ICF's Energy, Climate, and Transportation practice offers results and

We are seeking self-motivated candidates to take a significant role in
the development of energy efficiency programs for a variety of consumer
and commercial electronic products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical expertise to assist with
research, analysis, and industry outreach to further the development of
ENERGY STAR specifications for residential and commercial information
technology and electronic products.
- Serve as liaison between government
and industry stakeholders (equipment and component manufacturers, trade
associations, energy efficiency advocates, etc.) to understand the
challenges and opportunities for improving energy efficiency in product
design.
- Develop/review test procedures and analyze product performance
data to identify opportunities for significant energy savings.
- Review
feedback from industry stakeholders and provide recommendations based on
sound engineering principles.
- Follow industry trends to stay ahead of
new product developments and other changes in the market that impact
energy efficiency.
- Attend industry events as a representative of the
ENERGY STAR program and build working relationships with key industry
partners.
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or
Mechanical Engineering preferred.
- 3-5 years of technical experience in
a research & development, new product development, technical
standard/specification setting, or manufacturing environment.
- Outstanding analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- High-level
proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated capability in building
relationships across both technical and marketing aspects of an
organization.
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of consumer electronics and/or data
center energy-efficiency strategies; experience in software and hardware
design a plus.
- Project management or technical team leadership
experience preferred.
